  • I am trying to restore Windows XP Pro SP3 on my Panasonic CF-U1 using an external USB DVD drive and it looks like it takes the first place on the whole screen. Install Windows. I keep getting the error “You need a Windows asms file” on the XP Professional Service Pack 3 CD “. I’ve tried direct file path for (D: i386) several times but that doesn’t work. I also tried regedit too far on the command line, but that didn’t work either. I’m extremely confused if anyone has any practical answers. which I would like to hear, thanks. Color = “# 226ca8″> BC

  • This method can be associated with poor optical generation or damaged media.

Do you still have only one USB CD-ROM drive? If not, try cables if the entire drive allows.

In this article, you can try our ISO image for XP pro SP3 in BC. Use the network first, not second. If you have an ISO manager, you should be slightly better able to extract the files you want, or burn a list of ISO files with the files at the lowest speed available.

Does the computer block booting from the USB drive? Once you’ve got the XP SP3 ISO file, use Rufus to get a bootable USB stick. Use the MBR partition scheme from the dropdown list and leave them all checked and also the checkboxes. Click on ISO and nebrowse to the ISO file. Tap Start.

  • My time is: 10:09, I made sure that the reader works, I use it almost every day without any problems. Note that I’ve tried different Windows drives, but certainly none. I tried to use a USB install but got a corresponding hal.dll error (I tried to use USB sticks as well as fancy .iso files). Thanks for the result, I understand.

  • The only thing I can recommend is to try and burn the ISO at the slowest speed with the entire Imgburn program. You

Have you tried using Rufus after using a USB stick? If you’ve tried this before, try WintoFlash

I’ll see if I can restore the asms file on my old XP machine.

Edit: The only link I can find to search for asms is the Ford subfolder folder. Neither my installation file nor the XP SP3 installation disc I have had any “asms”, sorry.

  • I am sure the corresponding opticallyth drive will run. I use it almost every day without any problems.

It might be worth taking another trip. In the first case, people reported that using a different drive fixed the problem, let’s say there is something strange about the ASMS folder simulation that some drives cannot handle.

  • Making standard backup images of your partitions / disks … using third-party software … is probably the most important action a user can take.

  • Hello. This worked for me. I split my HD into two planes. I copied the I386 file (which is in the winxp installer) on one drive (C: i386) and installed XP on the second drive. When I hit the exact path, asms writes “C: I386”. I have done this style several times.
